Outside Magazine publishes Ogle shot

First imagery from the Bugaboos trip last summer surfaces.

If you get a chance, check out this month's (March 2011) Outside Magazine. Near the front, there's a sweet shot Steve Ogle took last summer in the Bugaboos, of Nelson Rocha. Nate was on the trip, and rigged this shot for Steve.  "...I climbed up ahead, then built an anchor and brought Steve up. Then I helped him get into position and belayed him while he took this shot. The hardest part was hanging in a harness waiting for the light - the wind goes through your clothes like butter in the alpine and after awhile I could barely move my fingers."

The crew had spent the previous night sleeping on a ledge halfway up Snowpatch spire (visible in the photo, Garry Tutte is belaying Nelson from it). Somehow a packrat manages to call this ledge home. He ate most of their breakfast. There's also a bunch of video that was taken on this trip, which we're hopeful will be released soon!

Just got back from a trip to the glaciated spires of the Bugaboos! We had the opportunity to do some cinematography work, which also involved climbing, rigging, sleeping on ledges and watching the weather with a, well, a weather eye. The footage won't surface for a month or two, but we're excited to post it when we can. Climbers on 10,000ft peaks with glaciated backdrops makes for good footy!
